Richard Carapaz (EF Education-EasyPost) received the combativity award thanks to his attack in the Puy Mary and his efforts to win Stage 10, before being caught by Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) in the Col de Pertus.
"We knew it was going to be a very tough race today, especially the first part, which was heavily controlled by UAE. Then I decided to give it a go; I had the legs for it. We tried to win the stage, I did everything I could."
"I knew the stage, I knew the sequence of climbs suited me well. I wasn't a threat in the general classification battle, which is why I tried to make a move from far away. I knew I had a good chance, but in the end, it wasn't enough to make it all the way to the finish for the win."
