The time trial specialists will have the chance to showcase the full range of their talent on a test of close to 40 kilometres over a course that’s more undulating than it is technical. What’s more, the setting is captivating, winding through the woods, vineyards and châteaux of the Loire Valley, passing Cheverny before the final three kilometres within the grounds of Chambord. While the Tour favourites will have already shown their form on the early climbs, this time trial will establish a definite hierarchy before the race reaches the mountains.
