The road from the Gulf of Morbihan to Anjou is a long one, but the sprinters, battered by the climbs of the previous stages, will be determined to bide their time in order to have a chance to shine in Angers. The route is flat and largely sheltered, although a long, straight stretch entering the final fifty kilometres might inspire some tactical manoeuvring before a winding finale on wide roads that leads into the finish on a rising false flat.
