After a nod to Mont-Saint-Michel, the race heads for Plumelec along lovely, straight roads. Halfway through the stage, the peloton will pay tribute to the cycling heroes of Saint-Méen-le-Grand, from Louison Bobet to Frédéric Guesdon. The decisive climbs won’t appear until the traditional Plumelec circuit, featuring a double ascent of the Côte de Cadoudal, a test that will crown the puncheur best able to repeat this roughly three-minute effort.
