Hasparren > Laruns

In addition to the postcard-perfect scenery and the fervour of orange-clad fans, the route through the Pays Basque also renews acquaintance with two great climbs: the Col de Burdincurutcheta (8.7km at an average gradient of 9.3%, peaking at 15%) and the Col de Bagargui (4.8km at an average of 6.4%, peaking at 10%). The final big battle for the climbers will continue on the Soudet and Marie Blanque passes, before the drop into Laruns. These two Pyrenean stages offer a concentrated dose of high-mountain action that’s well capable of turning the race on its head during the final week.
