"It’s a mix of emotions. In the end, we did everything we could to catch the break but it was an incredibly strong breakaway and it was just not possible. I got some good points today. It would have been nice to contend for the win, but it was not the day, and we can be happy with a decent amount of points.
It was a bit of an internal battle - me, myself, and I - on the steepest climb of the day. I managed to set my own pace and make it back. All in all, I go into the rest day with a good feeling. Bring on next week!"
