Fifty days before the Grand Départ Lille-Nord de France, the 8th edition of the Dictée du Tour gave its verdict: more than 500 winners will receive an invitation to discover the Tour de France.
Over 35,000 pupils aged 8 to 12 could test their skills on the 60 texts read on 28 March, the day after the D-100.
A RECORD EDITION
This year, over 35,000 students from 70 cities and municipalities along the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift routes tested their skills on 60 articles from the regional daily press. Each text was selected and adapted to the abilities of children aged 8 to 12. As in cycling teams, the eight spelling champions from each city will win a precious invitation to attend the start or finish of the Tour de France, while seven winners will attend the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
REWARDS FOR ALL
Each winner will experience something exceptional, spending a day on a Tour stage. The children will have the privilege of going behind the scenes of a start or a finish, being introduced to the public on the signature podium, attending the official ceremony, and even exploring the team paddock.
All participants in the Dictée du Tour received gifts in the colours of the Tour de France: pens, copies, rulers bearing the image of Maxoo, the Tour mascot, and an educational booklet entitled 'La vie à vélo avec Maxoo' (La vie à vélo avec Maxoo) produced by the Journal de Mickey.
