"For me, this stage was pretty good, although not the best. I made it to the breakaway and was dropped on the first climb. After, when I was on the bunch, I wanted to catch the break because I had told them on the climb not to drop me so we could take turns on the descent to the Tourmalet. But they split altogether, and in the end we all were chasing each other. Anyway, I still could be 9th on the Intermediate Sprint. From then on, I went slow in order to save energy. It was a pretty fast day, and good for Bora-Hansgrohe as Emanuel Buchmann did great and is still up there on the GC. All in all, it was a nice day."
