The opening week concludes with the first big mountain stage, giving the climbers the chance to go all out before the rest day. After a flat start, the intensity will increase with a sequence of five categorised climbs culminating on the Grand Colombier. After crossing the Col du Berthiand and the Col de Richemond, the final ascent will begin in Culoz, tackling the Grand Colombier via its most scenic flank.
