A second time trial of more than 30 kilometres kicks off the final week, giving the TT specialists a double dose to savour on this Tour, although they’ll need to be careful not to get too carried away with this prospect! An out-and-back section of around 20 kilometres along the banks of the Garonne favours raw power, but the road then rears up suddenly with sections of 20% on the Côte de Pech-David. There’ll be much grinding of gears and legs before the urban finale.
