“It’s been a great day. We were prepared for this. We wanted to take the yellow jersey. We started with Primoz attacking. The goal was to make Pogacar’s team suffer. It was part of the plan that I’d break away but it was a surprise to first do it with Mathieu. It was funny. I suppose it has made nice image. Being at the front also enable be to grab some more points for the green jersey but the main goal of the day was the yellow jersey.”
