“It was very predictable that the stage would happen like this. No GC rider and no GC team wanted anything more because they knew tomorrow is an important time trial in which we’ll have to give everything. Once the ITT will be done, the Tour will be different with many attacks. On Saturday, there’ll be a very hard stage with a mythical climb. Some riders will try to make it up for the time lost. For the time being, I don’t think we need to do anything but race smartly.”
