Imagine le tour: The visual for the 2017 Tour de France is the work of a 20-year old student!

“It's sensational! I can't believe it…” was the reaction of Alexis Boulivet and it is commensurate with the feat he has just accomplished: the visual for the 2017 Tour de France. 298 propositions were received from 19 countries and in the end, these rays of colour, the golden arch and a Yellow Jersey were the recipe for a deserved victory.

“I wanted to depict the effort and talent that the cyclists require to reach the Champs-Elysées, the fight led by the Yellow Jersey wearer to remain out in front until the end. The strips of colour symbolise speed, action, attacking and consecration of victory with all the strips heading to the top”.

These values stood out and impressed our grand jury of 7 major personalities, all fans of Le Tour and big names in their respective domains: the CEO of A.S.O., Jean-Etienne Amaury; the Director of the Tour de France, Christian Prudhomme; the Managing Director of the Cannes Film Festival, Thierry Frémaux; the Executive President of Havas Worldwide, Mercedes Erra; the Director of the New York Museum of Modern Art , Glenn Lowry, fashion designer Paul Smith and three times winner of the Tour de France, Christopher Froome!

“Swept up by the passion for the Tour de France” according to his own words, Alexis Boulivet will soon be able to live the event to the full, and from the inside to boot! In addition to the 5,000 euros that will help to finance his studies, the young 20-year old designer will spend an exceptional day on the next Tour de France, whose route will be revealed this morning, live from the Palais des Congrès convention centre in Paris.
