In a region where every corner is steeped in cycling history, the Côte de Cadoudal climb stands out. Its slopes lead to a summit visited by numerous local, national and international races, and by every cyclist in the area. Whenever the men’s or women’s Tour has finished in Plumelec, the winners have been crowned on the Cadoudal climb: from the Ti-Raleigh team in the 1982 team time trial to Marianne Vos on the opening stage of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, via Bernard Hinault, who won the prologue of the 1985 edition in his native Brittany. Three weeks later, “The Badger” was still wearing yellow in Paris on what remains the last occasion a French rider won the Tour’s overall classification.
