The resort offers a prime vantage point for viewing both Mont Blanc and the peloton, which frequently tackles the climb to the Col des Saisies. The Tour’s riders have crossed this pass 14 times, most recently in 2023. Giulio Ciccone crested the summit first, while Felix Gall went on to win the stage in Courchevel after Tadej Pogačar cracked on the climb to the Col de la Loze. Also located close to the resort is much more selective Bisanne climb, which first appeared on the race in 2016 and featured back in June on the route of the final stage of the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, won by Isaac del Toro. Les Saisies was also where Egan Bernal claimed his first yellow jersey… at the Tour de l’Avenir in 2017.
