This is the end! The last stage to Paris doesn't carry much of suspense for the distinctive jerseys as Jonas Vingegaard is set to celebrate a second Maillot Jaune in a row, Jasper Philipsen mathematically secured the green jersey on the finish line of stage 19, Giulio Ciccone sealed the polka dot jersey atop col de la Schlucht yesterday and Tadej Pogacar remains the best young rider - but it's the last time since he'll turn 26 next year! It's all about the stage win on the Champs-Elysées. This grandiose finale held since 1975 has a special taste this time around because next year it will be a closing individual time trial from Monaco to Nice instead, Paris being busy with the Olympic games. For this special occasion, the tradition of a bunch sprint finish should be respected and the logical favourite is the green jersey holder himself. Philipsen is the defending champion of this particular stage. Others who have won it before have quit the Tour: Wout van Aert, Caleb Ewan, Mark Cavendish. Former winners Dylan Groenewegen and Alexander Kristoff have made it to Paris to try and get this feeling again. After the end will come the happy end of the closing ceremony.
