Fabio Jakobsen can do it again

The third and last Danish stage will take the 176 contenders – all starters are still in the race – from Vejle, the native town of former Swiss rider Tony Rominger, to Sonderborg in the south of the country, via Kolding, the hometown of Kasper Asgreen. The winner of the 2021 Tour of Flanders will be committed to getting a third stage win out of three on home soil for Quick Step-Alpha Vinyl, possibly through another bunch sprint for Fabio Jakobsen. Once again, the weather conditions, the strength and direction of the win will determine whether the run in to the finish will be smooth or not. On the first day of Wout van Aert racing in the yellow jersey, top sprinters like Dylan Groenewegen and Caleb Ewan who came eighth and thirteenth respectively in Nyborg will be avid for a revenge.
