“I felt the cooperation wasn’t great in the breakaway. So I attacked in order to not have regrets. But it was from very far out, too far. The downhill wasn’t very technical and the valley killed me. When I reached the foot of the final ascent, I was left with no strength and I thought it wouldn’t work. It’s been a good feeling to be alone in the lead on the road of the Tour. I think I’m back to a decent level. I gave everything until the end and I’ll continue this way all the way till the end.”
