"Winning an ITT in the Tour de France has always been one of the biggest goals of my career. I have been focused on this race in the last couple of days. I am very happy I have pulled it off. Comparing with the first ITT [of this Tour de France], this one was more rolling, and faster. With my weight, it was more to my advantage than the first one, which was punchier. It has been a perfect day. I was completely over-heated after the effort. It was stressful to see the rest riders coming to the finish. But, when I saw the intermediate times of the GC guys, I relaxed a bit. It was been a very hard Tour de France for my team. I am very proud of what we achieved, with three stage wins and Jonas placing second in the final GC."
