"On the team, we wanted to be in the breakaway the first two days because we knew that if we took the polka dot jersey on the first two days there were big chances that we would be keep it for almost the whole first week. I felt good yesterday, so at the team meeting I said I wanted to give it a try today. On the first KOM sprint I made a mistake because I didn’t see the line to sprint for. In the final kilometres, I wanted to take a prize, so I went full gas from afar in order to secure the Combativity award. I’m happy with my performance today."
