Third yesterday, French rookie Guillaume Martin became the sixth rider called Martin to make the podium of a Tour de France stage. Four Martin have won at least one stage: German Tony Martin and Irishman Dan Martin who are in the race again this year, Frenchman Raymond Martin who was from Normandy like Guillaume and Belgian rouleur Hector Martin who won four stages from 1925 to 1927. Spain's Esteban Martin finished third at Chamonix in 1966. It's a name with no frontier...
