Speaking to the media before the start this morning, Richie Porte declared: “Yesterday, I obviously gave time away to Froome but it wasn't a terrible day. The race only just began. Sky has to take the pressure on. From stage 5 onwards, they'll probably have to control things. It was great to see G [Geraint Thomas] win. He only deserves that. It's a long way to Paris. They have the jersey now and it's a lot of riding at the front for them. I feel good today. It's another stress. But I have a good bunch of guys to get me through. The most important is to stay safe. There's not a lot to gain.”
