At the first time check, Orica-GreenEdge has the worst time so far. The Australian team is the defending champion of the team time trial at the Tour de France as they won the last such exercise in 2013 in Nice, bringing Simon Gerrans in the yellow jersey, but they are seriously weakened this time. They're the only team left with only six riders after Gerrans, Daryl Impey and Michael Albasini were forced to pull out after crashing. Michael Matthews is also injured.
