Orica-GreenEdge has not only won the last two stages of the Tour de France and taken the lead in the general classification, it has also earned nine yellow race numbers denoting the squad’s status as leaders of the team rankings. The victory in the team time trial may have only been by one second, over Omega Pharma-Quickstep but the Belgian team has had setbacks with injury which has seen several of its riders finish in the last group in stages two and three; they are still ranked second last while the Australian squad moved from fifth to first.
The third and fourth placed teams, Sky and Saxo-Tinkoff, respectively, are now in second and third place within easy striking distance of the race leader’s time.
