“I’m ready and willing to accept the responsibility and expectation that comes with this jersey. I think it’s another few years before I can start thinking about switching this colour but luckily I’m still eligible for this colour [white] next year so maybe I’ll just try to win this again before I go for the big prize.
“It’s been a huge three weeks – just being able to learn from the veterans like George and Cadel, and learning that I can actually hold up to a big three week race… it’s been wild and it’s been a lot of fun.
“Right now it’s all about recovery in the lead-up to the Games. I’m going to try and take it easy and relax, have a little fun and I think that’s the best way to be ready for London.”
