"We expected some moves in the beginning of the stage, because we knew it was a tough stage bound for a breakaway to go clear. It was a sad day for us, because we lost Brandon [McNulty] very early in the stage. He had a pretty hard day. Chapeau to him, as he has contributed a lot for us to be in this position and he has gone through a very hard moment, spending 50 kilometres alone at the back. We have mixed feelings today.
Of course [I'm worried]. This situation isn’t nice. We always want the team to be in top shape. We have to remain positive, because these guys put us in the situation we are in right now. It will all pay off. At the end of the day, everybody is super strong in this team and, if we have a good day tomorrow, the outcome will be fine."
