On Saturday, May 23, the TDF Club held its 4th Social Ride of the year in one of cycling’s most legendary locations: Alpe d’Huez, celebrating the double Tour de France summit finish scheduled for 2026.
Starting from the Cycles & Sports store in Bourg d’Oisans, around 50 participants gathered under perfect weather conditions to take on a challenge worthy of the venue: climbing Alpe d’Huez. The route featured a 34-kilometer loop with 1,150 meters of elevation gain, including the ascent of the iconic climb from Bourg d’Oisans. Turn after turn, riders tackled this legendary ascent, combining effort, determination, and a shared passion for cycling.
Blending challenge and camaraderie, TDF Club members completed the climb in times ranging from 1h05 to 1h45, enjoying breathtaking scenery and the unique atmosphere that defines the Social Rides.
Present throughout the ride, Christophe Riblon fully embraced his ambassador role, chatting with many participants during the ascent and sharing memories, advice, and anecdotes about this legendary climb.
Highlighting the excitement surrounding the event, two British participants and one South African had travelled specifically to take part in this TDF Club ride.
As tradition goes, the day ended with a Tour de France prize draw, featuring exclusive prizes including Oakley TDF sunglasses, a Santini jersey, a bib entry for L’Étape du Tour, and VIP access to a 2026 Tour de France stage.
A successful event for the TDF Club, held at one of the most iconic summits in world cycling.
