"It was a day to save energy, and that's what I was able to do, which is great, especially since it was a very eventful stage. When there was a crash at the start of the stage, I didn't fall, I just had to brake but I stayed on my bike. At that point there was a breakaway and the front riders were going very fast, but I stayed in a group with which I reached the finish, without worrying about the battle at the front.
Now my biggest dream is to bring the polka dot jersey back to Paris. I have an eight-point lead, which isn't much, and I think Pogacar will win quite a few more stages, so I'll need to score points in the breakaways.
After the rest day, we're back with Mont Ventoux, which is of course a good memory for me, but I don't know if the breakaway will make it to the end and if it's worth me going for it. There's still a chance that it will be decided between the riders in the general classification."
