The Tour de France and Continental have agreed to extend until 2027 a partnership that began at the end of 2017.
As a main partner of the Grande Boucle, the tyre brand rewards the stage winner each day and is also a safety partner of the Tour de France.

Each day has its winner. Winning a stage in the Tour de France is something that changes a cyclist's destiny. Since the summer of 2019, Continental has been associated with these emotional moments after becoming a Tour partner in late 2017. Over the last three editions, the finish arch that bears its colours has seen Tadej Pogačar raise his arms for the first time in Laruns, the Kwiatkowski-Carapaz duo cross the line hand in hand in La Roche-sur-Foron, Mathieu van der Poel's extraordinary and moving show of strength in Mûr-de-Bretagne and Mark Cavendish's 34th victory (record equalled) obtained in Carcassonne 13 years after he raised his arms for the first time in the Tour. For these moments of spectacle and joy, one of the world's largest tyre manufacturer wants to extend the pleasure through to the 2027 edition of the Tour de France, with nearly 130 medals to be awarded. And even more thrills to be shared among the riders and the fans.
Continental and the Tour de France share the same ambitions in terms of commitment. As a safety partner, the Hanover-based company supplies the tyres for most of the organisation's vehicles and conducts a prevention and training course for the Tour's followers. Continental's desire to position itself as a leading actor in road safety is accompanied by a presence at the heart of the peloton to serve a dual objective of safety and performance for the riders. Continental will supply six teams with GP5000 tyres.
Christian Prudhomme, director of the Tour de France:
"Continental is one of the most important innovation partners of the Tour de France, with whom we have grown closer in recent years. We will benefit from the know-how of Continental's durability and tyre technology experts for an additional five years.”
