"It’s super nice to start my first Tour like this. The only thing I could ask for was winning. My boys did a great lead out for me and we almost made it, so I have to be happy. To be second is a great result. I can be happy with the second place, although a win would have been nice. I race to win, after all. It was good to see the peloton stand together to avoid unnecessary risks on the descents."
