Romain Bardet: "An exciting race in the days ahead"

It was a very tactical stage, more than physical, because the leaders were watching each other closely. It's a pity that some are already calculating in the second week as we allowed back in the game some riders we had managed to drop. I hope we won't regret it in Paris. I was doing fine but it was not easy to have some freedom especially with a finale that did not suit attacks. I had to be content with following today. It was a great race today with some great riders like Contador or Quintana who were hurt in their pride and made it back into contention, as well as Mikel Landa, who is very dangerous. Behind, it was a waiting game and it's a pity even though it will make the race more exciting in the days ahead.
