2016: Guillaume Martin, European champion

This year sees the baptism on Le Tour for the Wanty-Groupe Gobert team, which has been riding in the Pro Continental division since 2011 and under its current moniker since 2014. The Belgian team has constantly progressed and has managed to compete with more experienced teams with better squads. For example, in 2016, it tasted triumph on the Amstel Gold Race thanks to its classics specialist from Italy, Enrico Gasparotto, who has since left for other horizons. The consistency that it had to demonstrate to win this title must at least in part be down to one of its most promising riders, Guillaume Martin. However, it was in last July that his contribution to the team's success was decisive with a 2nd-placed finish in the general classification on the Tour of Austria.
