Julian Alaphilippe and Tony Martin both have a red bib after they were awarded the most aggressive rider prize for their breakaway on stage 16. The last time that two riders were awarded the same day was at St-Flour in 2011 when Johny Hoogerland and Juan Antonio Flecha were compensated for their spectacular crash caused by a media car.
