La Cascade and its circus

Installed since 2008 in a historical building in Bourg-St Andeol, La Cascade is one of the twelve national centres for the Arts of Circus, in charge of supporting creation, education and diffusion. All year round, La Cascade holds several public events on the premises or in other venues, at the festival of Alba-la-Romaine for instance. The centre also holds training sessions for professionals and amateurs alike, as well as workshops, presentations in schools while helping other professional training centres in their programmes. Two circus companies are residents in La Cascade, – Les Nouveaux Nez & Cie and Les Colporteurs –, while a hub has been created for small businesses linked to the circus trade. Strongly connected to the territory, La Cascade benefits from state of the art equipment (performance hall, dancing hall, playground) making it possible for amateurs and professionals to learn from one another.
