Tomorrow, almost 4,000 people will attend the presentation of the route for the Tour de France 2016. The Grand Start of next year’s race will take place in the Manche. As a curtain-raiser to the traditional close season show, the Mont-Saint-Michel, which will have pride of place for a majestic start to the race on 2nd July, was suitably decked out on Monday morning: a 25-metre high yellow jersey was hung from its flank! As regards the future of the yellow jersey next summer, the pretenders for the title on the 103rd edition will do battle on the plains as well as on a varied range of relief, from hilly stages to the high altitude of the mountains… But where, in what order and with what share of time-trialling? To find out the details of the route, lovers of Le Tour who have not made the journey to the Palais des Congrès can still follow the ceremony in real-time, thanks to it being streamed via the letour.fr web site and on francetvsport.fr from 11.30 AM. Several TV channels will also be broadcasting the event live for their viewers, including Eurosport and Equipe 21 in France, Eurosport International and Eurosport Asia.
