Like millions of travellers in the history of old Europe, the Tour de France will this year enter Belgium through the Antwerp harbour. A plural and multi-secular trade capital, the city also witnessed the biggest honour in terms of sport by hosting the 1920 Olympic Games. The City of diamonds is also linked to the Tour de France's destiny. It was indeed on the course of the first edition that left from abroad, taking off from Amsterdam in 1954.
