“Two stage wins is good for me. I want the green jersey in Paris, I think. It’s my objective. I think it’s a big goal for me. To win a stage was also part of my plan even if I don’t win another stage, I’ll still try for the green jersey. And I’ll win it, I think.
“Today I had a plan for the victory salute. I spoke with my friends at dinner and we agreed I should do [an impersonation of] Forest Gump at the finish.
“After a crash, I had to change my bicycle. I broke my chain.
“I’m very happy when I win. Today it was a finish for strong riders and I have very good legs.”
