The "Vivons Vélo" programme encourages everyone who lives in France to ride for fun and turns their pedal strokes into donations to the Institut Pasteur or into trees.
The public has ridden over 2.1 million kilometres this year, raising €70,000 for the Institut Pasteur and planting over 3,000 trees.
