Mark Cavendish is in the green jersey again. Yesterday, he was timed 40 minutes behind the Chris Froome group 2km before the summit of Peyresourde while the time cut was about 44 minutes but he was guided by timing expert Bernhard Eisel and made it back to the grupetto that crossed the line 39.24 after Froome. The top three of the points classification remained intact: Cavendish with 204 points, Marcel Kittel with 182, Peter Sagan with 177. Interestingly, Michael Matthews went for the intermediate sprint to score 20 points and move up to seventh in the overall ranking by points. Today's intermediate sprint is at Andorra-la-Vella, km 138, after two category 1 climbs.
