Andorre Arcalis 1

Located in the Principality of Andorra, at an altitude of 1,940 metres, Arcalis belongs to the skiing domain of Vallnord, on the parish of Ordino. Ski fans relish these wild and natural open spaces. In the winter or the summer, Arcalis opens to anyone wishing to disconnect from the everyday routine to live a full nature experience. The parish of Ordino is also famous for its trekking trails and paths like the Circuit of the Three Lakes of Tristaina or the Nature Park of Sorteny, home to 800 species of flowers and plants.
Nestled in the middle of wilderness, Ordino and its landscapes are a haven of tranquillity. From an architectural point of view, the 12th century Romanesque church Sant Martí de La Cortinada, with its paintings by the master of La Cortinada, is also worth a visit.
Ordino is also noted for its iron heritage, which can be discovered on the 4-km Route of Iron, leading through mines and forges dating from the 16th and 17th centuries.
