What better and more welcoming site for a start then Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux with its typical provencal alleys and lanes that head towards places and squares and their joyful terraces? It’s therefore no surprise that the Tour once again launches one of its stages there after those heading to Gap (2011), the Cap d'Agde (2012) and Mende (2018) with victories of Thor Hushovd, André Greipel and Omar Fraile. Well before, the Tour Féminin had inaugurated that fine habit in 1993, followed by Paris-Nice (2009 and 2016) and the Critérium du Dauphiné (2010). Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux, the start city that everyone wants!
