The Landes village of Hagetmau is renowned for its expertise in chair and armchair manufacturing. But spectators probably weren’t sitting down when the peloton passed through the commune on one of the final stages in the 2021 race, which was destined to be won by a breakaway rider. The stage had started in Mourenx, in the neighbouring department of Hautes-Pyrénées, and headed to Libourne, where Matej Mohorič celebrated victory for the second time in that race having already won at Le Creusot.
