Tourist attractions

Liège

The Province of Liège boasts a privileged location at the heart of the region, accessible from all over Europe.  Its rich heritage and the warmth of its inhabitants have earned it international repute, and it bustles with festivals, traditions and folklore.
The Province is a patchwork of beautiful, harmonious landscapes, forged in the fires of mines and steelworks and lulled from age to age by the gentle flow of the River Meuse, whose charming valley can be admired in Huy and Visé, among others.
Above all, though, the Province of Liège is a land of culture and sport, both of which it has actively nurtured for many years.  It has played host to a variety of famous sporting events for decades. Every year it takes part in the organisation of Liège-Bastogne-Liège, one of the most prestigious sporting competitions, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2014.

Ans

Ans is changing. It is a multifaceted environment, containing residential and commercial zones, suburban areas, industrial zones and rural areas. Several quarters are being thoroughly renovated in order to meet the needs of the ever-growing population. Different measures have been put in place such as forward-looking and environmentally-friendly town planning, an urban lighting plan for some public buildings to improve the feeling of safety at night, and superbly-managed public parks focusing on interaction between inhabitants of all generations.
Two parks are also being developed in addition to the two existing ones: the parks in Caisserie and Haut Douy. In addition to all that, there are cutting edge school facilities and a cultural policy featuring the Cultural Centre and the Château de Waroux. In terms of sport, Ans has 80 sports clubs and is known for its latest generation swimming pool and facilities which can be adapted to most sports.
Ans - it's common sense...
