The German capital of fashion hosted a dress show on Burgplatz just outside the town hall with all 198 contenders of the 104th Tour de France riding their bike throughout the old town of Düsseldorf in the middle of the crowd. The favourite color of the peloton this summer is white. Team Sky, Trek-Segafredo and Katusha-Alpecin turned up with their newly designed uniforms that are predominantly white.

From 1st to 23rd July, the Tour de France will be committing itself to helping Paris 2024. On the 21 stages on the programme, an athlete and ambassador for the bid to host the Olympic Games will be involved in presenting the Yellow Jersey. Pre-race press conferences have started ahead of the 104th Tour de France with Chris Froome expressing his ambitions to win his fourth title and German riders emulating children as they expressed their passion for cycling. The teams' presentation will take place on Thursday, June 29, from 6.30pm to 8pm on the Burgplatz in the centre of Düsseldorf.

100 years after the creation of the Yellow Jersey, 50 years after the first triumph by five times winner Eddy Merckx, the Grand Départ of the Tour de France 2019 will take place in Brussels, which already hosted the departure of the Tour de France in 1958. The course of the 104th Tour de France (1–23 July, 2017), which was unveiled before an audience of almost 4,000 people at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, stands out for its atypical mountain stages. Although there will be fewer climbs than usual, their steeper gradients will separate the men from the boys. From the time trial in Düsseldorf to the one in Marseille on the eve of the finish, there are plenty of hat-tips to tradition. Inspiration for the brave.

He has been named the grand winner of Imagine Le Tour, the first design competition of the Tour de France. His creation was singled out by our grand jury and he wins a cheque for 5,000 euros and a VIP day out on one of the stages of the 2017 Tour de France.
