Just like the first two editions of the Arctic Race of Norway, the third one has had a thrilling finale with Rein Taaramäe taking the title from race leader Ben Hermans who had a mechanical and then couldn't respond to all the attacks. The BMC Racing Team didn't lose everything as Silvan Dillier claimed the last stage in Narvik in style.
We have three different types of stages and four different winners at the Arctic Race of Norway this time, which is great. The fight for GC until the last kilometer has been fantastic. It's been a great week of racing for everyone. The riders are very keen to come here and race hard. The event has moved one step forward in the league this year and it has a great future.

Wild, Dramatic And Beautiful
Welcome to Narvik - A peninsula surrounded by fjords and mountains. It is the home of the Ofoten railway, dramatic WW2 history and amazing skiing.
Narvik was the first industrial town in northern Norway and was given town status in 1902, when the construction of the Ofoten Railway was completed. A town centre was formed and its unique culture was, and still is, influenced by modern Norwegian navvies, engineers, technology and sailors from across the world. Located 45 km from the Swedish border you can visit two countries in one day.
Above the Arctic Circle the dark period in the wintertime can be extremely unique and challenging. Though it sounds strange, it can also be quite magical, especially when you can experience the Northern Lights. Narvik is renowned for its famous ski slopes. In the summer hiking options in the region are endless. The stunning nature, with its mountains and fjords offers summit walks up to a height of 1,500 metres. Play golf, fishing or just relax and chill out. All this is so much better when you have 24 hour light and the ‘Midnight Sun'.
