LCL has been present on France's roads for 29 years, via the yellow jersey awarded to the leader of the general classification on stage races organised by A.S.O. within French borders.

In 2009, more than two and a half million passengers travelled on the yellow boats of Corsica Ferries between the French or Italian mainland and Corsica, again strengthening its place as leading sea carrier for Corsica since 2001.
The firm has come a long way since 1968, when Pascal P. Lota, a native of Bastia, founded the shipping line. Since then, the company has not stopped growing. Following on from the first crossings to Italy came others to France, and the yellow boats gradually became tantamount to comfort and quality of service.
Corsica Ferries today runs eleven lines between Corsica and mainland Europe. During the summer of 2010, it will be running up to 15 return journeys per day!
