Chris Froome: «I hadn't planned on attacking»

interview24.03.2013Stage 3- Porto-Vecchio / Col de l'Ospedale

It was more or less what we had planned. The idea actually was to try and first control the race with the team all day long. The guys managed an incredible work and we really put the pressure on the others. Then, I hadn't really planned on attacking in the final climb but there was a gap between Richie and me, and it increased. I felt I could take off so I did.
It's a weekend that allows me to see at what point I can trust my team before the Tour de France. There were many attacks during the day and we responded each time in the tricky situations.
