2010/01/14 - The Sultanate of Oman is a unique place

The Sultanate of Oman is a unique place where one can feel its magic everywhere, an exceptional and welcoming destination which boasts a multitude of wonders. From North to South, Oman offers its geographical treasures and a great number of cultural, sport and leisure activities. In this land, the Indian Ocean touches the deserts’ sands where grow the famous "boswelia" trees (frankincense trees), the souks are rich with silver and frankincense, new roads lead to colourful mountains, lush oasis hide fortified villages and their ancestral traditions.

North/Musandam Peninsula- In this quiet region, where time seems to have come to a halt, the sheer coast dives into the bright green waters of the sea, forming amazing fiords. Muscat & region-Cultural & financial heart of the country, Muscat is the ideal place from where to discover the many aspects of Oman. From the coast to the desert, through historical forts and the lively sheep market of Nizwa, the travellers will be amazed by these different faces of the destination.

South/Dhofar-This region, with Salalah for capital, differentiates itself by the monsoon rains that fall over the mountains and coastal plain during the summer, leaving behind a lush and green nature. Between deserts, frankincense trees and luxuriant mountains, Dhofar should be discovered through its awesome landscape, its rare flora and fauna and the locals’ kindness.
