Tourist attractions

Cambridge

Prince William and his wife Kate also have the title of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The city also shines thanks to the prestige of its university. Its former students also reached excellence in terms of sports. They were indeed the first, in 1856, to put down on paper the rules of the game of football. Oar in hand, the strong gentlemen of Cambridge dominate the most prestigious rowing race of the year, The Boat Race, against Oxford each spring, since 1829. One can therefore expect a glorious page of cycling history to be written on route to London.

Londres

On several occasions, the British capital found itself at the heart of the sports world, hosting for example the Olympic Games (1908, 1948 and 2012). For the cycling fans, the way London welcomed the pack of the Tour during the 2007 Grand Départ will remain in the minds of many. From the team presentation at Trafalgar Square to Fabian Cancellara's time-trial victory in front of Buckingham Palace and the solemn start of stage 1 on Tower Bridge, the riders were boosted by a crowd that hadn't yet witnessed the exploits of Cavendish, Wiggins or Froome… Promising for 2014!

Corporate social responsibility

Since it was founded, Amaury Sport Organisation has been involved in various sponsorship and philanthropy activities. It is the generosity of sport that can be found in a certain number of initiatives aiming to invest in the workings of the disciplines themselves (sponsorship of the French Federation of Cycling), in a humanitarian and social framework, (Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, Actions Dakar, Un Techo Para Mi Pais) or in the environmental sphere (Madre De Dios, selective sorting, etc.).
