Pierre Rolland: "Never nice to get caught behind"

The leader of the climbing classification collected the only point on offer in stage 13 but an untimely puncture saw him lose ground on the group he'd been riding with.

"It was a great stage, now we are really racing! Personally I went to take a point, and then we were still placed in the top group. But I lost my place with a flat tyre. It's a shame because, with Jérôme Cousin, we did apply ourselves well to maintain a good position. It's important to be in front, in stages like this. It is not very serious because I have no interests to defend in general, but it's never nice to be caught behind.”
